Optimize Your Device
If you get a high latency score (orange or red), follow these actions:
Ensure your system and drivers are up to date (Windows/macOS).
Restart your computer and open only essential applications.
Free up disk space.
Adjust system performance settings:
On Windows, search for “Performance” in the taskbar.
Click Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
Select Adjust for best performance, then click Apply.
Restart your PC.
Pause synchronization for services like OneDrive.
Disable unnecessary startup programs.
Scan for viruses or malware.
Restore your device using a system restore point if needed.
If Minimum Configurations Are Not Met
Using a device that doesn't meet the recommended configurations can cause interruptions, slowness, or temporary exam access issues. These disruptions may compromise monitoring and the validity of your session. Minimum and Recommended Technical Requirements
If you can't access another device:
Be prepared to wait a few seconds if your screen freezes.
Refresh your browser using the ↻ button at the top left.
Re-share your screen if prompted.
The Nexam platform automatically saves your progress, so you can continue from where you left off without losing your responses.
Also ensure that:
All non-essential applications are closed.
You are the only person using the Internet connection.
Your computer is plugged in.
You are using a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi.
You restart your computer on the day of your exam.
If your Internet speeds remain insufficient after trying these steps, contact your Internet service provider.
