Invitation code invalid, expired, or already used

Understand why an invitation code no longer works and what to do to access your Nexam account.

Why doesn’t my code work?

An invitation code may not work for several reasons.

It may be:

  • Already used

  • Expired

  • Copied incorrectly

  • Linked to an activation link that is no longer valid

Important: An invitation code is for one-time use only. Once your account is activated, the code can no longer be used.

Message: “Invitation code does not exist or has expired”

This message may appear if:

  • The code has already been used

  • The code has expired

  • The code was copied incorrectly

  • The activation link is no longer valid

If this message appears, do not create a new account. Start by checking whether your account is already activated.

If your account has already been activated

  • If your account is already activated, you must sign in directly to Nexam with your email address and password.

If you do not remember your password, use the Forgot password option on the same page.

If you started activation but did not complete it

If you started activating your account but did not complete all the steps, the code may no longer work.

In this case, first try signing in directly to Nexam with your email address.

If you do not know your password, use the Forgot password option on the sign-in page.

If you do not receive a password reset email

If you do not receive an email after using the Forgot password option, the email address entered may not be recognized by Nexam.

Make sure you are using the full exact email address provided by your institution.

A shortened address or email alias may receive messages, but may not be recognized for sign-in.

If the code has expired

An invitation code is valid for 30 days.

If the code has expired and you cannot access your account, contact your evaluation coordinator or your institution to confirm whether a new invitation should be sent to you.

If you did not receive your code

If you did not receive your invitation code:

  • Check your inbox

  • Check your junk or spam folder

  • Make sure you are checking the correct email address

  • Confirm with your evaluation coordinator that you are registered

  • Confirm with your evaluation coordinator that the email address used is correct

The invitation email is sent from [email protected] and the subject line is Invitation to Nexam.

When to contact technical support

Contact Nexam technical support if:

  • You cannot sign in

  • You do not receive a password reset email

  • You believe you never completed activation

  • Your evaluation is coming soon

  • The error message continues to appear

You can write to [email protected]. To help us process your request, include:

  • Your first name

  • Your last name

  • The email address used

  • The error message displayed

  • The name of the course or evaluation

  • The date of your evaluation, if it is coming soon

Key takeaway

  • An invitation code can only be used once.
