Why can’t Nexam change my email address directly?
The email address used in Nexam is linked to your account and to your registration with your institution.
For this reason, Nexam cannot change an email address without approval from the institution concerned.
This rule helps make sure the correct account is linked to the correct person, course, or evaluation.
When should you request an email address change?
You may need to request a change if:
Your email address contains an error
You are using a new official email address
Your institution changed the address linked to your file
You no longer have access to the email address used in Nexam
You used the wrong address when activating your account
What you need to do
You must first contact your institution to request the change.
If your institution approves the change, it can then contact Nexam so the request can be processed.
Nexam cannot make this change based only on a request from the user.
Why approval is required
Your institution is responsible for confirming the user’s identity and the email address that should be used for the evaluation.
Nexam must therefore wait for official confirmation before changing the email address linked to an account.
If your evaluation is coming soon
If your evaluation is coming soon and you cannot sign in, contact your institution as soon as possible.
You can also contact Nexam technical support at [email protected] and include:
The email address currently used in Nexam
The email address you want to use
The name of your institution
The name of your course or evaluation
The date of your evaluation, if it is coming soon
Note: An email address change request must still be approved by your institution before it can be processed.
Key takeaway
Any email address change must first be approved by your institution.
Nexam cannot change an email address without this authorization.
