Disable Automatic Switch to “Available” Status for Copies with Individual Availability Periods

Understand how session assignment works and how the automatic or manual switch to “Available” status is managed.

Updated this week

Automatic creation of a copy when assigning

When you assign a user to a schedule, a copy is automatically created. By default:

  • The copy receives the status Associated.

  • It automatically switches to the status Available if the schedule is within its availability period.

Disable automatic switch

It is possible to check the option Disable automatic transition to Available status.
In this case:

  • The created copies keep the status Associated, even if the schedule is already active.

  • This allows manual management of availability for each copy.

When assigning, a message reminds that:
“If needed, a custom availability period can be configured for each copy as part of session tracking.”

This configuration is done in the session tracking interface, via a batch action.

Effect when duplicating a schedule

When a schedule is duplicated from the management interface:

  • Custom availability periods are deleted.

  • The pause on automatic status change is disabled.

Adjustment of availability periods

In schedule tracking, it is possible to define for each copy:

  • A separate opening and/or closing date, within the overall schedule period.

Options available via the Modify availability period action:

  • Keep current value

  • Synchronize with the schedule

  • Define a custom date

Reactivation or deactivation of the automatic switch

If the automatic switch to “Available” was disabled during assignment, you can reactivate it from the modal for modifying periods.

  • Uncheck the box to disable the automatic switch.

  • Status change or reset of a copy disables the pause period.
